At DLC FURNITURE, your satisfaction matters. This Refund & Returns Policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds for purchases made through our website or direct sales.
Please read this policy carefully before requesting a return — it helps us process your request quickly and fairly.
2. Scope & Applicability
This policy applies to all items sold by DLC FURNITURE unless an alternate return policy is displayed on a specific product page or quote. Custom-made or made-to-order items are covered only for manufacturing defects and transit damage (see Section 5).
3. Eligibility for Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Return window: Requests must be made within 30 days of delivery unless otherwise stated in writing.
To be eligible for return, the product must meet all of the following:
- Be unused and in the same condition as delivered.
- Be returned with original packaging, including crates, protective wrap, and all included hardware/accessories.
- Include proof of purchase (order invoice, delivery slip or sales receipt).
4. Items Not Eligible for Return
Returns may be refused if any of the following apply:
- Item shows evidence of use, assembly, alteration, or damage after delivery.
- Original packaging, documents, accessories, or required hardware are missing.
- Custom, bespoke, or made-to-order items (unless a manufacturing defect or transit damage is confirmed).
- Damage caused by improper handling, exposure to elements, or customer-installed modifications.
- Items sold as “final sale”, clearance, or deeply discounted where the listing explicitly states non-returnable.
5. How to Initiate a Return / Exchange / Refund
Follow these steps to start a return or exchange:

- Provide documentation: Include order number, delivery date, and clear photos/videos showing the issue (if applicable).
- Get approval: Our team will review and respond within 24–48 hours with an approval, next steps, and return instructions.
- Return shipment or pickup: For approved returns we will arrange pickup where available. If the customer returns the item, please use a trackable, insured courier service and keep the proof of shipment.
- Inspection: We inspect returned items (typical inspection time: 2–4 business days).
- Resolution: After inspection we will issue a refund, replacement, exchange, or store credit according to this policy.
6. Refunds — Method & Timelines
Refunds, if approved, will be processed to the original payment method. Typical timelines:
- Refund initiation: within 3–5 business days after inspection approval.
- Time for funds to reflect in customer accounts varies by payment method — UPI/wallets (24–72 hours), banks/cards (5–14 business days).
- Cash on Delivery (COD) refunds will be processed via bank transfer or store credit and require customer bank details.
Shipping charges: If the return is due to our error (damage/defect/wrong item), DLC FURNITURE covers return/shipping costs. If the return is due to customer preference (change of mind), return shipping may be deducted from the refund or charged separately.
7. Cancellation Policy
Before dispatch: Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of order confirmation for a full refund.
After dispatch: Cancellation is not permitted; you may request a return after delivery (terms apply).
Custom orders: Custom or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production commences. Cancellations before production may incur a fee.
8. Exchange Policy
Exchanges are offered for defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the replacement item is unavailable, we will process a refund or provide store credit.
9. Customer Responsibilities
- Keep the product unused and retain original packing until the return is approved.
- Provide accurate photos, videos, and order documentation when filing a claim.
- If returning the item yourself, use a secure, trackable courier and insure the shipment — DLC FURNITURE is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit by the customer.
10. Special Cases & Sale Items
Sale, clearance, and promotional items may have different return rules noted on the product page. Special-order or bespoke items are not eligible for standard returns unless there is a confirmed defect or transit damage.
